457 Upper Edward is located on a prominent site in North Brisbane adjacent the CBD. This project was designed for the Brisbane fringe city strata title office market and consequently needed to be easily subdivided into 100 square metre tenancies. The design maximised the full development potential of the site. The building is located to create a landscaped sub-tropical forecourt between the street and front facade.
A layered façade of lattice concrete sunscreen encloses the forecourt, providing privacy and sun protection from the west. A glass elevator rises from within the landscape to give a dramatic entrance to the individual offices.
